Prince Charles did good!

This is NOT about Royalty per se, it is about an 87 year old lady with 65 years service with the Red Cross.

My Mil went to a garden party at Buck House yesterday.

They sorted her with buggies, wheelchairs, a footman to make sure she was fed and watered, and made her feel very valued.

Then this is a very shortened version of her 5 minutes with Charles

She is over the moon and his last words of "Thank you for the many years of work you have done for us and the Red Cross" as a really personal thank you.

She now feels valued, rewarded and honoured for her service

fab! i declined the chance to go to that, but a few of my team were there. there were a lot of posh clothes in the office in the morning.

Prince Charles visited my place of work a few years ago.

I didn't meet him, but the comment from several people who did was along the lines of: "I thought he was a bit of a prat, but actually, he is a nice bloke."

I got to meet him very briefly (and unexpectedly) in my work car park many years ago. He made time for everybody that wanted to meet him despite being hurried along. Whilst I don't agree with all the things he says, fair play to him for speaking his mind and making time for people.
