I'll give the tape a whirl thanks Fossy.
Failing that the Hope mount looks a good option djb - yes the current foot screws up into the base of the lamp - is this how the hope one works?

Yes, just unscrew the rubber foot from the lamp and refit the hope bracket. You may need a slightly longer screw but they're easy to get. I've got loads from old rear light fitting brackets, I'm sure you've got a ton of bolts and screws in a box somewhere too :biggrin: it is just as simple as unscrew one and screw on the hope bracket.

The hope bracket is solid and doesn't move unless you want it to, the rubber fittings that my magicshine came with slipped when I hit something hard. You can get the smaller o ring to fit on the oversize bars to give a better grip but its a bbbiiiiiigggggg stretch!
