I recall it was suggested that the bicycle was responsible for an increase in average height in rural France over a few generations because people could travel further to spread their genes.

Cycle commuters were already dealing with the same problems as we do, it appears.
I’m in rural France right now and plan to do a bit of a ride tomorrow. 🤔
