Drilled the forks today to accept the recess brake fittings and it was a very easy job. The Shimano Exage Motion brakes are a vast improvement over the old dia-compe centre pulls I had on there and look a hell of a lot neater too. Pic to follow.
I weighed it today and it came in at 9.5kg (20.9lbs) Which isn't bad for a lowly equipped 501 frame, could probably save 0.5kg on the wheels.
So other than a new seat post and tyres this project is done, for now...
