I ask again. Where do you see him saying he gave ANY information to the scammers?
I cannot read what you seem to be reading into what he wrote.
How do you interpret the last paragraph of his post given paragraph 2?

then if the scam email/text doesn't, he knows it is not a genuine Evri one.
Except they might just use one to notify you. No guarantee the online retailer will pass on both.
But still nothing to suggest he is giving the scammers any information.
More information you give to online retailers the bigger the risk.As part of my standard doubles defence I always enter my email and mobile number and I know the genuine Evri notifies both so I knew it was a fake.
Really? Biking Dad just said he gave them his email or did you not read that bit?
He said he gives the courier his email and phone number, not the scammers
He didn’t say where he put those details. That’s my point. It’s open to interpretation
It can easily be inferred from the context
Clearly not. The context could say he was putting those into the scammer site.

This mod thinks @bikingdad90 was very clearIt's
I've just reported bikingdad90 to the mods for not ensuring that his wording could not be misinterpreted in any way by anyone, no matter how awkward they try to be.
Spoofed numbers in that each call or text was coming from a new number. Easy for SCAMers to do if they even have a small PABX (when I was still working I ended-up having to setup and maintain company phone system and the caller ID it gave out was just a setting and we actually had several in ise (configured so some extensions gave one number, other extensions a different number yet all going out on the same line). Can you not just Block the text/calls? On Android I can block any SMS, and I use a 3rd party app called "Mr Number" to screen my calls.
