There was a lot of disruption after this one, and it came down to 'the questionmaster makes the final judgement'.

Answer. A kidney.

You can have one removed and survive, and then have it replaced successfully.

No ill effects???!!!???. Anyone in that pub actually had a kidney transplant?

I think I'll focus on other pub quizzes elsewhere thanks!

We used to have a quizmaster in a quiz league you couldn't argue with (I know they are all like that). He asked the question "What does MIRAS stand for?" The other team didn't know the answer so it came over to ours.
When we gave the answer "Mortgage Interest Relief At Source". He told us there was more and was therefore incorrect.
The answer he gave was "Mortgage Interest Relief At Source Time And Relative Dimensions In Space".
both teams pointed out that he had given the answer to the other teams question as well he came up with his supplimentary spare question.
"The subject is Fountains. What is the name of the ruined abbey 5 miles East of Ripon?"
He didn't have another spare question and scrapped that round without any hint of embarrassment.
