I’m riding a Bianchi with Campy grp set 11 speed with stock wheel for quite sometime and decided to upgrade. So I purchased a set of Dura Ace 9000 C50

online from Chain Reaction, specifiying 11 speed thinking it will simply match without knowing Shimano is not compatible with Campy. I wasn’t prompt at any step proceeding to the purchase. Probably Shimano feel that customer shld know of this.

Now I’m stuck. The shop advised I can actually just change to a Shimano cassette (cheapest option) while retaining the rest of my grp set but may run the risk of occasional chain jumping or frictional sound. Obviously I can’t accept that.

I wish to retain my grp set. What other options do I have?

Return the wheel to CRC provided you have not ridden on it and exchange it for a campy wheel.

Send it back to the shop. You can't change cassette as they are different and use different free hubs. The C50 is shimano only.

You know it's an offense to have Campagmano or Shimagnolo

PS it's Campag not Campy you Yankee doodle do.:tongue:

Not a chance

Was an article a while back that said they were now compatible , failing that the OP could just change to a campy freehub .
