I was hit by a car today . Very slow and no damage / no one hurt . 100% the drivers fault as she hit me from behind in stationary traffic while we waited for the lights to change . She couldn't say sorry enough and i cant be bothered to get bothered about it .

Also it comes as little surprise to me that you were the subject of a road rage attack given your tendency to refer to people you do not know as "trolls" so readily . . .

No and I hadn't said anything before the nobber attacked me years ago either. I didn't need to. Apparently that motorist also thought cycles should be loaded on cars and driven to a recreational bimble, rather than ridden on roads as transport.

...so is passing a cyclist with as much space as a car. Lots of shoulds should be musts.
Such as the aforementioned rule 147?

If a car at a T junction is not indicating, the reasonable thing to do is hang back until it has turned one way or the other. The cyclist was in no danger and has just acted like a self-righteous bully*. A large part of roadcraft is compensating for other's mistakes, and hoping that they will extend you the same courtesy. This was a very minor mistake imho.

*According to the facts as I currently understand them.

Failure to indicate is more than just an error,it is dangerous driving. I see it so often, also see cyclists not indicating as well. However car drivers have got to realise that they are driving machines that weighs tonnes and can kill. Therefore the OP should be more p'd off with his missus than the bloke who was rightly upset about yet another piece of unthoughtful dangerous driving. Dont know why the OP felt the need to go on about how big he is,and the assumed reaction of the cyclist scarpering cos he saw him coming.the cyclist was prob going on his way anyway pal, unless he thought you were going to try and steal his cornish pasty.

I'm assuming many, if not most people on here also drive. I bet there isn't a single one who, whilst driving, has got out of the car and had a go at another driver because they didn't indicate at a junction. It happens multiple times every journey and people would be fighting in the streets constantly!

Keep doing it and it's a matter of time before you get a smack in the mouth or worse.

Not in a car because a non indicating driver is unlikely to injure me as easily and severely when in my car as opposed to being on a bike.

Do you thibk pointing out a mistake however minor, but a mistake none the less warrants a punch in the face?

So the car was at a t junction, turning either left or right, presumably positioned in way indicative of which way the driver was intending to turn, albeit not indicating, and the cyclist was behind the car? The car then turned either left or right, the cyclist followed, either because they wanted to go that way or to chase the errant driver and confront her.

In what way was the cyclist put in danger that caused them to confront the driver if they were behind the car? I'm not sure I follow what actually occurred, only that the cyclist needs to take a deep breath...?
