No need to 'dry off' a decent 'squeegee' blade leaves the glass absolutely dry and in a soft water area (like Lancashire) there's no need for vinegar, it's only use is to counteract the limestone in 'hard' water areas.
Technically no. A squeegee blade cannot get rid of the boundary layer of water on the glass. However, that evaporates within seconds.
I treat all my water with a dram of whiskey. Then I don't care if it is hard or soft.

Bird poo can contain bits of bone, make sure it is very soft and wet before removing, or it can seriously mark the glass or paintwork, as in the case of the car I am playing with at this very moment.

Put dietary notes onto bird table, to ensure the soft and wet bit?

If it is on expensive paintwork I will leave a wet sponge on it for a good while before attempting to remove. It is not nice stuff as this photo shows the damage it can do, that is stripped back to metal.
