Prime retailed for £2 a bottle, which is pretty reasonable for a drink like that.

Unscrupulous resellers took advantage of the shortage of supply, and chanced their arm on eBay. I'd be amazed if anyone actually bought a bottle for £3,000...

Talking to a bloke from Poland earlier, who works in the local Tesco I picked up a packet of prawns for my now making it chicken prawn and veg Korma. He asked what they were like. "Haven't you had prawns before" I replied. "No, never" he said. Surely everyone has had prawns at some point in their life. Why hasn't he had prawns before? 🤔

Poles eat carp for their Christmas Dinner. I don't think it's eaten at all in the UK.

Not generally nowadays, but it was very much the main fish eaten throughout medieval times.

Almost all monasteries, abbeys etc. would have had fishponds, in which carp were kept for food.

Ah, thanks, I was just a bit bemused by it all and even now, I see people trying to sell it for daft prices!
