when things are actually dangerous, you expect them to be dangerous so are more careful?
Yep all the safety devices in modern cars (Seatbelts, Airbags, Crumple zones, Anti lock brakes, etc.) mean that although accidents are more survivable they have led to lower driving standards and higher speeds, try doing 90mph in an old Viva or Marina..............utterly terrifying.

Nah it was the missus' darling girlfriends bloody hairdryer and that is descriptive, not swearing....................T'were'nt there when I got into bed.

Can you still get a black and white television licence, and can you still buy a black and white television set.

You can't buy B&W TVs new anymore, for obvious reasons (no one would buy one), although I'm waiting for someone to post a link to some retro niche website that does actually sell them new. Yes you can pay £60 odd for a B&W license, but you're not allowed to record anything i.e. you can only use it as a dumb tv plugged into an aerial
