I have around 20 minutes to do something with some of them fine beans. Any suggestions? I'm currently boiling some water if that's any use?!

Cook them, dry them thoroughly and let them cool down. Chop half a clove of garlic really really really finely. Mix in with your beans with a little bit of salt and a few drops (literally) of olive oil. Makes a nice salad.

Blanch then stir fry with garlic and shallots, and finish with Oyster or Hoi Sin sauce - quick enough for you?

They're going with pork and potatoes as a 2nd veg, so I might give the garlic stir fry a go. Cheers.

or, here's my recipe for gujarati green bean curry:

fry 0.5 tsp each of mustard seeds & cumin seeds in a little hot oil for a few seconds. Add 2 chopped fresh tomatoes, salt, and 0.5 tsp each of turmeric, ground cumin, ground coriander and chilli powder. Cook for 2 mins.

Add your cooked beans, add 2 fluid ozs water, bring to boil and simmer for 4 mins.
