Quill to Ahead Converter

Is there such a thing? I have a great set of handlebars that I want to fit to an old steel frame but it has an old quill headset which isn't really large enough for the width of the bar. Obvious solution would be if there was a converter I could use the Ahead stem I already have which does fit it. If available, where could I get one?

They certainly exist - my LBS does them

Couldn't find them on Wiggle, but maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Cheers Doc. I'll have to pull out the handlebars as I have no idea on the quill measurements. Probably 1 1/8".

No worries. Actually, I think I saw some in my local Halfords t'other week...

LBS is definately worth a try.
I got a 1 inch quill stem with 1.1/8 head on it...about £7 from my LBS. Couldnt even buy it off ebay for that money.

ITM definitely do them. I agree that the LBS is best place to start.

TC has one of them fitted (make sure you get the right size). Does the job very well, but looks a bit gappy.
