Seriously, after looking at that video - there's no braking needed

Looking at that video, you'd get dropped by the bunch pretty quickly if you used the brakes - assuming that your braking doesn't cause a pile-up...

I'll put it out there. My problem with jamma's posts is that I'm still not entirely sure they're a windup. They always follow the same pattern - a post with a question that is usually naive and often borderline credible, without useful detail or any follow up. People take the time to answer and encourage in good faith, but usually don't get any feedback, thanks or even a 'like'. Follow-on questions are usually ignored. He then disappears for a few months to reappear with a new thread and new scenario.

OK - let's assume jamma is for real for a moment. If you're falling off the track with the frequency you describe, YOU SHOULD NOT BE ON THERE! I'm surprised you weren't kicked off the race. You're a danger to other riders. If I remember one of your other threads with some other issue about riding in groups, I gave the same advice, but you'd gone again by then.

But, the mystery circuit that's now closed for new footy pitches (is it? - can't find anything on the web), the coach-who-isn't story, the '10th place finish' after stuffing the fence all sound like gravy to me. I'm out.

Yeah am real as far as i am know the human race hasn't evolved yet . Yes i do dissappear form the forum for a few months because i am out riding my bike or out with family and friends and not sat at my laptop/phone on the forum all the time.

About me not saying thanks or giving likes out is because i am not going to take half the thread up with replys saying "thanks for your advice" and am not going to be stood around clicking like for a good ten minutes for everyone to be on the thread.

Regarding the mystery of the circuit being closed due to these new footy pitches is real and only open for groups who have booked it and its says on middlesbrough sports village facebook post that it is until further notice.

Also about finishing 10th i was dropped ( yeah have a laugh) when i had the incident so was safe after i got sorted to get back on the track and get back in the race as the last guy was just coming round he first corner before this one in question when i was on the start/finish straight

I don't think there's any law against it as such, just that if Jamma keels over and croaks as a result of one of his training sessions, who is responsible?

A talented racer giving a young guy new to the sport some tips - it will be more of a mentoring sort of thing than a formal coaching arrangement so why make a drama out of it? Good on Tanfield for doing it!

That all depends on whether your assumptions are accurate or not..
