Calderdale council propose an increase of 1 in 1000 to 1 in 100 commuters to use bikes i think those were those figures, though quoted an increase of 1000% in cycle usage. Now I know and many here will realise Calderdale is a tough place to commute on a bike, but as many of us know once fit enough no cycling commute is difficult and this is why they were negative in their outlook that cycling when you start is hard and off putting.

Calderdale council is negative in their view towards cycling full stop. Unless they can somehow make money out of those taking part, like this weekend.

It's easy enough cycle round these parts, as you say once you get used to it. Cycling in general is the same. However with them(council) seeking to have three roads declared unsafe for cyclists and restricting our cycling to towpaths, it ain't gonna work.

You are not a cyclist who can legally use the roads, you're a pedestrian on a bike in Calderdale. Who shouldn't be on the roads.
