Get well soon Randochap.

Now come on admit it, you're looking at the tyres on that wheelchair and thinking "A little more pressure, maybe some slicks and are those spokes tensioned correctly!"

The cheap rental they've provided has crap plastic wheels and :becool: solid rubber tyres!

You're right, I'm wondering how I can fit my gold Campag Shamal Ultras.

You obviously don't get the riveting Jenny Jones, Sally Jesse Raphael, Maury Povich, Geraldo Rivera, Jerry Springer, et al.

Can't wait to see results of the next round of paternity tests!

Was Becky Sue's baby fathered by Billy Bob, Ben or Bubba? Or ... did Becky Sue steal little Biffy from a WallyWorld parking lot?

Mate, get well soon. That sounds a sore yin.

Is the Maury one still going where the lass has had 20 odd paterrnity tests, and yet still has no idea who the Da is?

I somehow missed this thread but someone (think it was scoosh) mentioned your accident during the scone section of yesterday's CC ride.

Get well soon RC! You sound amazingly upbeat considering.

Thanks, Matthew. Wow! My condition is being discussed on rides in Scotland? I'm that (in)famous!

This morning, someone forwarded a photo of a friend on LEL ... sleeping upright! What a ride that was! Has the weather improved?

Good grief I only just read this. What a hideous accident, but you could have come off far far worse. Hope you have a speedy and relatively pain free recovery. And I'm very glad it wasn't your head.

If its any consolation, my friend's ex girlfriend had both of her legs shattered when she got hit by a car while cycling (both legs, ankle to hip) - she had plates inserted in both legs to help the bone grow back and it worked a treat. She can walk properly now (2 years later but it was both of her entire leg). So the plate thing works! All the little bits of bone which were floating about magically found each other and joined back together. Quite amazing actually.

Until then rest easy and enjoy all that attention and TLC ;)

I hope you are improving Rando. It stopped raining for yesterdays CC ride in East Lothian and dried up quite nice for a while ;)
