I don’t know what’s going on as I haven’t seen/read exactly what has taken place, but it does seem to have touched a nerve with you, Randochap. Maybe even a little revengeful or a least, a bit of a protest?

I don’t really like the idea of a forum that censors censorship. I like clear rules and if mod action is taken against someone it should be clearly visible to everyone in order to re-enforce the forum rules/etiquette. I like to see and know why someone has been banned, post edited or warning given. If someone posts something inappropriate, the mod should edit the post and place a reason, maybe locking the thread if warranted. The thread shouldn’t just be "deleted" and user banned/warned via PM.

But like I say, I don’t know what posts/thread he is referring to, or what Admin has said.

I'm confident by the number of UK readers and comments both public and private from CC that I have helped enough to continue with the project.

Read any motive on my part into it you want. what matters to me is the thanks I get from my readers. As I said, I'm not getting anything else from the work.

If something is deleted, then it should be removed and a reason put in its place.
On another foum im on, if a post is deleted or edited, a reason is put at the bottom, and which mod has edited it.
Normally swearing, and changing it to the forums code. But other bits have been edited out before, with the reason put at the bottom.

That really just says to me... this ISN'T a cycling forum. I don't really know WHAT it is.
There really are some nasty pieces of work on here.
I would urge people who are genuinely interested in open minded discussion about cycling, as opposed to prejudice, bigotry, rants, and furthering their own perverted agenda, and hammering out replies without bothering to read the post they're replying to, to join yacf.
I really hope that the people that I do, or potentially would, get on well with on here do also do so, because I for one will be making an effort to turn my back on it now.

Sheldon did not come on to this forum specifically to advertise or promote his website . Allegedly Rando has.

I don't know the full story as he has long been on my ignore list but on most forums one of the most important rules is no commercial advertising on the forum

The forum has its own commercial advertising, log off and take a look around.
If Sheldon did come on this site, and put links on to his site, would he have been told to stop it aswell? I very much doubt that.
Infact, the bicycle tutor guy did come on here, did he not? He was a member, but left on his own. When he first set up his site.

I am losing it abit with this site, certain members annoying me, certain mods annoying me.
But, because i know a few people on here, its about the only reason i am staying.
I have looked at YACF, but it always seems abit quiet.
Bikeradar i wouldn't go to, through principle, and because it is crap.
