Nothing to do with 4x4s. Perhaps you should get back out on your bike in the sunshine and stop leaping to conclusions.
I've done 30 miles and climbed 1200ft on the roads of Mallorca this morning Adrian. Given it is a 'family'break, i did well to do that.

I guess your comments make a change from 'but you're not a real cyclist' which you normally spout......

Are you saying my direct personal experience is incorrect? Over 3000 miles a year, that's my direct experience. Statistics demonstrate drivers of these vehicles break the law more often

WHich laws or all laws generally? I think you linked to mobile phone use earlier - will take a look again... If it is a phone use link, then it just MAY be possible that sitting up high in a 4X4 with a mobile stuck to your ear is plain stupid as you are really easy to spot! Therefore the driver becomes a recorded statistic and possibly gives bias to the conviction per mile driven?

This could also be contered by the fact that it takes us ages to get up to speed in our Disco - forget speeding on a motorway; it is just too much hard work! This could lead me to the OBVIOUS conclusion that Discos speed less (especially Tdi) and are therefore driven by slow coaches who religiously obey the laws of the road? Or am I now generalising?

There are tw4ts in Discos, RRs etc. There are tw4ts in Mondeos (Bet there speeding rate is much higher than many) and there are without a doubt tw4ts on cycles - especially in London. That does not mean that ALL road users are tw4ts!

So now that I have proven that 4X4s don't speed ever, are you happy to consider that your position may be slightly flawed or biased?

So your statements are generalisations then. Which I asked people not to do (as a moderator).

No they're noyt, they're my direct personal experience cycling through Norwich and Norfolk. They are often the cars parked inconsiderately too, right on top of the junction which, if the car has tinted windows, completely blocks the view of the junction.
