I’m obviously getting old as I hate the tinny whining noise RC boats make on one of the lakes in our local park. You need to get a RC jet boat as they be fairly quiet I think.

My RC boat [Frankenstein toy car] mash-up is now complete 👍
Tested for buoyancy and prop/rudder performance, in my bath....

Will put up a YouTube when we get out to the local Duck Pond.

My RC boat [Frankenstein toy car] mash-up is now completly smashed up! 😮

Well..... NO 😉

I have cut out the 'direct drive' 6V brushed motor. I then pressed the 50T Meccano cog into the prop uj/receiver cup & cross pinned it (I'm going to fill the whole cup with 2pak glue too!)👍

I'm about to mount the Meccano 25T cog onto the 6V drive motor, then remount & rewire the motor.....

When I ran the boat under 'load test', tethered in my bath, the motor got really hot/toasty/burny brush ponggy... Straight overload = firey death 😧
This new 2/1 ratio should ease the motor loading, probably a more 'free' hi speed revving 🤔

We Will See

I have now constructed/cobbled up... my 25T driver cog, for the boat drive.
I pressed the brass cog into a spare u/j cup, holding the two in my hobby vice.
I drilled a through hole and (having no suitable pinning wire) then cut the shank off the drill & glued it through, securing them tightly.
I removed the pair from the vice and tapped them onto my motor shaft.

It looks 'rough n ready' but, hey.....
