Only cos I'm waiting for someone to give me a 25.2mm seatpost with a "modern" clamp ... been waiting about 9 years ....

i'm sure you can get those, i think it's what wife and daughter's pig iron steel framed bikes are, and they both have a micro seatpost.

These Minoura space grips that we're hearing conflicting stories about on this very thread. Is it not possible that those who think they're good have them at an almost vertical angle, hence gravity not coming into play. Those that seem that as carp are having them almost horizontal?

I had mine pretty much vertical to let my lights peep over my bar bag. It wasn't so much that the thing was crap (although it is a very cheap and nasty looking piece of kit), just that it really looked ridiculous without the bar bag on. Not strictly Minoura's fault, I think you'll agree, but still ...
