Owls cannot move their eyes. This is because their eyes are locked in place by bones called sclerotic rings. That's why owls rotate their heads up to 270 degrees left and right, and 90 degrees up and down.

Foxes 'scream' at night as they are trying to attract a mate.
The prime time of year for this is January as that is their mating season.
I can testify to that as we have one that wakes us at 0230 every morning :sad:

There was a story that the screaming was the male stuck inside the female but probably just rubbish?
I used to live somewhere near foxes - the first time I heard them I thought it was someone doing something appalling to a young child.
News that it was foxes having a bit of fun came as a great relief.

In The Green Mile the straitjackets that are used on the prisoners are depicted as having buckles. However buckles weren't introduced into straitjackets until the 1980's. Before that they were laced up.
