I’m getting pretty cheesed off with the exact same toy ( wooden ball) every time in my avocados.

On the plus side, before long you’ll have a boules set.

There is no official watershed on radio.
TV has a 9pm watershed for adult content.
Radio just has instructions to avoid school runs etc. When children might be listening.

And it doesn't always get observed. A serialized version of 'The Zipless F*ck' was broadcast on Radio 4 before 11am. It wasn't censored.

Casio released the QL-10 in 1981. It was a combined calculator, alarm clock and cigarette lighter.

Testing of the V2 flying bomb was hampered by technicians stealing and drinking the ethanol used to fuel it.

I've not heard of that happening: V2 problems were often due to the use of slave labour for construction in appalling conditions, which is even worse...

The alcohol problem seems to have been an issue in the Soviet Union.

While we're on the subject of "booze carriers", the gun ports on the F-104 Starfighter (with the guns temporarily removed) could easily accommodate several whisky bottles.

The German Navy's Starfighters were frequent visitors on training and goodwill missions to the Royal Navy base at Lossiemouth in northern Scotland, conveniently located close to a large number of distilleries. ^_^
