Well there's one glaring fault, the fuel was Alcohol but the Water was used to keep temperature down. Liquid Oxygen was mixed with the Alcohol in the combustion nozzles

While we're on the subject of "booze carriers", the gun ports on the F-104 Starfighter (with the guns temporarily removed) could easily accommodate several whisky bottles.
