London Underground once had an exhibition (permanent I think) of animals that had been killed by its trains. It was at Charing Cross. It included an otter - no idea where that met its end.
Pretty sure the internet would melt if they brought this back today.

The sun’s output is so vast that just one second of it’s total output would power Earth for the next half million years, based on current power usage. But we get a tiny fraction of a percent of the overall output.
If we could capture all the energy that actually hit the earth in a single hour it would power earth for a year.
So the amount of energy available for us to capture is enormous we just need to get better at harvesting it.

This growth in population has directly impacted our environment. We’ve consumed more resources in the last 50 years than the whole of humanity before us which means, as our population dramatically increases, our resources deplete

Ever wondered how hot a hot air balloon is.
They operate at around 120C and have a fairly short life span of 500 hours.
Many commercial operators will run at lower temperatures to increase lifespan.
A balloon will have more lift in cold weather than warm weather.

Similarly Native Americans didn’t have horses until the Europeans brought them over with them at around the same time.
You know, for some reason (instinct/TV/film) that screams at you that it just can't be correct! 'What about wild horses?' you protest!

That's why I love this thread. For those moments of dissonance
