The tides caused by the moons gravitational pull not only affect the oceans but also the land. The South West of England for example rises and falls approximately 4-5cm.

The sun also has a gravitational affect on the oceans....... not as much as the moon but its still there.
That is why, twice a year, for spring and autumn equinox we have the highest tides. That is because the sun and moon have equal tine/affect at those times.

John Haigh, also known as the acid bath murderer was active in the early 1940s.
His 1st method was a lead pipe to the bonce. He the stole a pistol and used that.
He would then dump the bodies in a drum of sulphuric acid.
When eventually caught he admitted to 9 killings.
He was hanged but allowed a brandy before hand.
NB the hangman was Mr Pierpoint from Warrington.

There's a species of South American Bee that feeds on the flesh of dead animals. They can reduce the body of a large lizard to a skeleton in about two days, frogs a matter of hours.

Talking of bees, I learned today that you have to use copper nails when constructing a beehive as bees won't go near anything with rust.

Also, the wood used to build beehives has to be certificated as not being from Chernobyl or anywhere downwind as bees won't go into a radioactive hive.
