Couth, ruly, ept, wieldy, persona grata, pecunious, gruntled, kempt, consolate...

...are all 'lost positives', previously in common use but now only living on in their negative form
ooh yes, I like those! I think "scrutable" probably counts too?

Cadbury's Birmingham factory produces 1.5 million Creme Eggs every day, and the Creme Egg is the most popular egg-shaped chocolate in the world.

500 million Creme Eggs are produced every year! If you piled them on top of each other, it would be 10 x higher than Mount Everest.

On Good Friday, which sees the start of the Easter weekend, it is illegal to dance in public in the majority of states in Germany.

Even Europe’s clubbing capital, Berlin, becomes a dance-free zone out of respect for the religious day.

In Baden-Württemberg, music is allowed to be played but dancing is not allowed, whilst in Bavaria, if you are caught playing music of any kind in a bar, you could be fined up to 10,000 euros.

The song Hippy Hippy Shake was first written and recorded in the 50s by a 17 year old Chad Romero**.
Paul McCartney sang a version but the Swingin' Blue Jeans released it in the early 60s and it went to No,1 all over,Europe.
**Romero was influenced by Richie Valens who died in a plane crash. Romero became close friends with the family and aged 80ish is still close to them.

Lance isn't a common name nowadays, but in the Middle Ages people were named Lance a lot.

Unless you live in the United Kingdom where it's proper to write 101 as "one hundred and one," there is no number from 1 to 999 that includes the letter "a" in its word form.

It's possible to turn
peanut butter into diamonds.

Scientist Dan Frost of the Bayerisches Geoinstitut in Germany did something a little bit different with his peanut butter: He made a diamond.
Frost studies the conditions of Earth's mantle and has found ways to mimic them in his lab. According to the BBC, the high pressures of the mantle can strip oxygen from carbon dioxide and leave behind the carbon to form a diamond.
And since peanut butter is already rich in carbon, Frost was able to transform the nutty goodness into a shiny jewel.

That would be the crunchy variety rather than smooth. Or at least it was afterwards.

Lon Chaney Jnr is best known for his role as tortured Larry Talbot, aka The Wolf Man. But his portrayal of Dracula, along with Frankenstein’s Monster and the Mummy, meant he had the honour of being the only actor to play all of Universal’s classic quartet of monsters.
