Rear derailler-position.

Recently fiited a new chain, for some reason the rear derailler has kind of sprung in to a differnt postion it all still works went for a ride this morning and all was fine.

Is there any reason that it is like it is - pictures here.

You need to remove some links - chains usually come a little long - I generally remove 4 links. If you have the old chain, you'll see then new one is longer.

You will need a chain link rivet extractor - about £10 for a good one (useful toolbox kit)

Cheers for the advice got it sorted. Bit of trial and error in the end.

Leave the leafy surroundings of Salford to go to South Manc? Are you mad! ;)
