yes, a lot of the manufacturers now to disc and non-disc racks, basically look the same but the frame fitting at the bottom is extended on the disc versions.

These are normally only needed if your disc caliper is mounted on the seatstay a lot of bikes are now being made with the caliper mounted on the chainstay and this allows the use of a standard rack.

It's seatstay mounted in the pics that I can see, for comparison if you look at images for a Specialized Crosstrail you can see how a chainstay mounted caliper looks.
 
I'd agree with macb and say it depends on the bike. I've got a topeak supertourist on a disc braked bike (a non-disc-specific version). Had to tweak the bottom mounting lugs a bit to line up with the frame but it wasn't a great deal. It actually replaced a disc-specific rack I'd had on the bike previously as I wanted the quick track feature. and it gave me a flat load area across the top of the rack with my bike-bins which has proved useful
