Morning, a while ago I came across what seemed to me to be a very interesting take on a rear splash guard idea. I wasn't in a position to write down the details. I can't find it anywhere on the internet and just wondered if any of you lovely people can help. Here's my description:
One sided arm attaches (on one side) to the rear axle and sticks out at about 90 degrees. The "guard" part is fairly small and (obviously as it's only got one side) has no attachment on the other side. Best way of understanding my totally inadequate description is to look at a BMW 1200 GS motorbike (the kind Euan and Charley took round the world). They all have that kind of guard. It is, actually, very effective (having owned a few GSs).
I don't really anticipate much response on this question but, after hours of fruitless research, I thought maybe one of you might have come across it! Cheers and have a good Friday everyone.
