Recall replacements - how long after the fact?

I have a Cannondale CAADX from 2016 and I have just become aware of the recall on the forks that occurred a few years ago (2020 I believe).
I haven't ridden the bike much in the past few years since the recall and when I did it was on road, but have recently been riding it on bumpier off road terrain. Would it therefore be safe to continue riding the bike on the assumption of it hasn't failed by now it's OK, or should the forks still be replaced as per the original recall notice? If they should be replaced, is this something that my local dealer should still be able to help with do you think? I just called my local dealer and they didn't seem that keen on helping but maybe that's because it's the end of the day.

I also don't know how one is supposed to become aware of these recalls. I only discovered it because I was watching a CADE Media YT video when they were talking about previous bikes they owned and one of them had the same bike and mentioned the recall. So until this afternoon I was completely unaware of any issue at all, but now I'm a little nervous.

I have posted about it on this forum several times over the years!

I discovered it when COVID broke out so that wasn't a good time to get it sorted out. Since then I have been recommended a couple of bike shops but they either stopped being Cannondale dealers or are too far away. A new bike shop near here opened and the owner said that he would sort it out for me but I have not got round to contacting him again. Thanks for the reminder - I will cycle up there tomorrow and see if/when he can do it.

Have you continued to ride it in the meantime?

For what it's worth, Garmin has the bike clocked at a little over 7800km. As I say that's 99.9% on road riding.

No - the thought of the forks snapping off on a descent at 80+ km/hr rather put me off!!!

The last time that I rode the bike was in 2019 or 2020. It did need some other work doing on its brakes and gears but I have finished those jobs so now I just need to get the fork replacement sorted out. The bike is going to be my winter/bad weather bike so it needs doing ASAP before this glorious summer finally ends. It has really good mudguards unlike all of my other bikes.
