Red Arrows to Fly Foreign Built / Designed Aircraft?

I saw something on the net which said that Leonardo are trying to get BAE to choose their aircraft as a Hawk replacement. It would be assembled here so we wouldn't be involved in the manufacture. It is a Russian design which was taken on by Aermachi and then Leonardo. It uses 2 engines which aren't Rolls Royce. So what would we get out of it? Nothing! We would just be assembling a plane designed and manufactured by someone else, using someone else's engines. They would get all the advertising free from all of the Red Arrow displays around the world. It would be another kick in the teeth for British manufacturing.
