Replacement Helmet

My current helmet, Giro Aeon, got smashed in an accident so I need a new one. My head didn't suffer a scratch.
What is the best helmet to buy as a replacement offering comfort, lightness, good ventilation and above all good crash protection. There is no budget limit.

There are conditions (such as less than 3 years old, must have original proof of purchase.....)

I was not a regular helmet wearer, but after having a serious collision ( I didn't injury my head) the wife prefers me to wear a helmet , having being married to her for 43 happy years I see no reason to rock the boat, so went for the lightest most ventlated lid I could find, the Specialized Pevail, I took advantage of their half price trade in, but you can get one for much less than the recommended retail price if you do a bit of searching.
