Respray by Ellis Briggs: any good?

A guy I know is thinking of getting them to do his fairly old Dawes Galaxy, largely because they seem a bit cheaper than the acknowledged quality finishers like Mercian and Argos.
Does anyone have any experience of their resprays? Thanks.

They are a very good shop - my LBS in fact.

But as far as I know, they don't do their own resprays. They use Bob Jackson of Leeds.

That's no bad thing. As Bob Jackson closed their shop to specialise in renovation.

There is another guy I know who worked for Pennine Cycles building frames - Chris Marshall in Keighley. He's even better than Bob Jackson and will possible be cheaper for your mate. Drop me a PM and i'll Send you his details.
