My tactics are to hold on as long as I can then watch the group drop me like a stone
Me too, seems the best tactic, just grab the best bunch we can cling onto and get them to do as much work as possible.
It's actually quite a bit of climbing 360m in a half hour race, 2nd biggest elevation change in the series so I'll probably get chucked out the back on the 1st 10% but I'll try and save a dig for it and keep with the group for a lap or two.

Had a quick peek and looks like a good series though

The points based format is better than TdM where team results were all down to 1 person in 3rd position in the team. So for this series on the two heavy climbing ones you guys will score a squillion more points than me to balance out my tardy finish. Hopefully the flatter ones I can stick with you guys better.

Yes, I really enjoyed the first one, good group of friendly people and great organisation. The results are produced really quickly and I loved the weekly preview video. Tandem was hard this morning, strong cold wind, but I'll try and stay with the front group until I make a big effort way too soon and have to limp home 22nd. I got passed by 3 guys in the last half km that I'd slowly caught and passed earlier on the climb on last night's classic de juedi on the stelvio. One of them, Drujon, who's super strong caught me 20 m from the line. I went from 9th to 12th.........Grrrrrr

On the flatter ones you'll get loads of points winning the sprint as @berty bassett and I lead you out to victory. We are second and the French are ridiculously strong, if we can hold on to second that will be a huge achievement.

Tnt tt and devil for me tonight if I'm not too tired after real World rides.
Joined a local chain-gang ride last night so missed the usual TnT races. Real life riding is so much harder what with all the concentrating and bunny hopping potholes etc.!, my technical skills are limited so left pretty big gaps with the other riders, my worst fear is bringing someone else down, thankfully no issues last night and I started to get a bit closer later on. 9 riders in all, 2 got dropped and there was a bit of a sprint to the end, managed third, now I know the deal will do better next time I hope. Really enjoyed it in a typical cyclist/masochistic way so will probably miss next weeks TnT too. Need to sort my wardrobe out my jacket was like a sail.

Yes I'm starting to ride twice on Tuesdays totally 100kms so am pretty knackered by the evening. I think I may have done my last TnT for this season.

It was a loop

Your 35k/hr ride the other day was awesome, almost identical speed as 9 of us managed yesterday, do you use TT bars?
I used to but not now ( only clip on ones )
Wasn’t as good as you think - it’s almost flat and on one road , 16 mile out , around one roundabout and straight back it’s a tt course and I think the bloke who’s winning done it in a stupendous time
I only try it on a weekend if the weathers good and pushed for time , it’s never interesting to come back on the same road is it
