I downloaded it this morning after reading this thread and did a ride with it recording. I also use Strava for all of my rides.

First impressions were that the app isn't that easy to understand. I started it up not knowing exactly what I was hoping to achieve. After the ride I had a score of 333 674! For what I don't know. Then I found a map that had some blue blocks on it and some yellow ones. In the future will someone steel my blue blocks or will they turn yellow? Who knows and I don't care....

Strava's beauty is its simplicity and easily defined goals, even if you don't want to use it to compare yourself against others, it's better than garmin connect for just logging your rides.

My SmartPhone does not have enough space to install it ....boooOO!

As I'm never going to be competitive due to having a heart condition and being on a huge dose of beta blockers meaning I'm slow, this would be great for me.

Although I'm not quick, I'm out there a lot and this would be a nice thing to participate in. It still won't get me to get a smartphone though. Shame.

Saying that, would it work on PC chrome or IE? Is there an emulator that would allow it to work?

I downloaded it today also. It doesn't actually tell you what happens does it? Just saying to complete a ride and then you can see what the app does.

I will give it a try tomorrow. I do rather like the basic idea. Gives a bit of purpose to riding the streets around my home. (Although maybe not - it all depends what the app does.... )

Here for rides.

Downloaded it and gave it a try today. I made some blue blocks and turned some red ones yellow. Err, what happens now? It's like playing 'Risk'. The website has a clean look to it but the developers could do with a native english speaker helping out here and there.
It's a different approach to a cycling app than just logging rides so I'll give a try for a bit and see how things develop. The cargo bike is never going to set any Strava records anyway with me on it.
Giving Strava a try at moment too. Still need to decide if its worth switching to or sticking with Endomondo

I translated T&C (seriously) then installed. I turned it down today when I walked for 5+km. In two separate rides it only recorded 0.01km and 0.04km. I know it was more than 5 because a GPS tracker running on the same phone recorded that.

Unless it doesn't count it as cycling if you are below a certain speed?

Worked for me. Sort of
Riderstate - 7.54
Strava - 7.6
Endomondo 7.36
It did include a couple of stops for shopping with the apps running. I have Endomondo set to pause when stopped so maybe something in that?

I run endomondo and strava. If - for example - strava stops running, I download the strava GPX and upload it to endomondo. I see the same sort of differences when using exactly the same data points. Endo and strava use different ways of calculating the distance between the dots, so it's easy for them to be a little different. And endo and strava save at different points, so that adds to the error.

Strava takes more battery power, in my case, but was easier to synch to my computer than Endomondo. I've gone to using just Strava, as usage, number of segments, and other riders are more prevalent on Strava in my area.
