Mount Snowdon and C2C are two fairly high up on my list of 'to do' rides. Still building my fitness for both but they will get ridden at some point.

I have a couple of weeks off work coming up so hoping to do a few of the classic off road peak district loops.

I would have loved to do LEJoG but I feel now I'm just too old and not fit enough

This might seem unnecessarily harsh for which I apologise, but age is a state of mind.
You're never too old unless you're physically impaired, and even then, where there is will there's a way.
As for fitness, that comes with training. If you are able to ride at all then you're likely able to do LEJoG.
FYI: JoGLE was two of the best weeks I've had.

I've got a few in mind...

1) A trip up onto Exmoor to try and track down the source of the River Exe - will probably end up being close on 100 miles with a lot of climbing once you hit Exmoor (I'm not yet ready for it!)
2) My first weekend mini-tour over Dartmoor this coming weekend (only 120 miles over two days, but with 10,000 ft climbing)
3) I'm hoping to do a ~180 mile Devon South to North coast and back again ride over a future weekend - probably some time next year now (again not ready for it right now)

LEJoG would be awesome, and I have a friend who would be happy to join, but it's a bit more of a logistical challenge to fit in, quite apart from the training!

I've planned a rough approximation of the 1946 Brighton Glasgow race route. There are a number of friends/family I could visit along the way (I'd have to be very liberal with my interpretation of the route, substituting Coventry for Wolverhampton, Darlington for Newcastle, things like that). I'll never do it, mind, but I have planned it in some detail as I like doing things like that.

Oh yes, and there's this which I may or may not attempt next year.

This has been on my list for ages (well since I started cycing in January) - and tomorrow I am doing it... well some of it. I am getting the train to Barnstaple and riding home to Plymouth. I think it will be 76 miles. The longest I have ever ridden; bonkers but I am just so excited

Wish me luck!!!

I hope to do a LEJOG, combining it with a visit to the five capitals of the British Isles: London, Cardiff, Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh.

I won't be in a hurry but will have to do it during a June and July, making it difficult at present cos I work from April to September, and I ain't going to do it outside summer.

- LEJOG
- A route from The Hook of Holland to Esbjerg (Denmark) - one I was definately going to do until they pulled the ferry service back to Harwich from Esbjerg.
- I once planned to ride from here to Swansea - I can't now for the life of me remember why. I don't know anyone there, but I have all the little arrows pencilled onto my road atlas to prove it!

C2C in one go. I live just off the route and it's only 140 miles so should be possible. I just need to pick the right day and get out there and do it. I've been meaning to for two years though
