RLJ nearly taken out by a cyclist colleague...

I almost took out a RLJing cyclist the other day:
Two lanes turning right at a traffic light controlled T- junction, we were several cars back in the turning line, as i was going through the junction cyclist RLJ's across the top of the T, i had to brake sharply and move right to avoid him - he did not slow at all.

Exactly. See loads of folk jumping those lights and cycling on the pavement by Vernon Park - their mummies don't allow them to ride on the road, it's too dangerous.

I used to ride down through the park (I stopped because I got a few punctures from glass splinters, presumeably picked up in the park) and come out of the gates at the lights or the ones just a bit further up. At that time in the morning trying to rejoin the road heading up to Bredbury is a dangerous nightmare as you have to filter through the continuously edging queue for the lights into stockport and watch out for traffic emerging from the 3 other roads that feed into the lights, much better to sit and wait at the lights during the rush hour.
