Awhile back I drove my car along part of my commute. I got caught out by the road markings, something I was unaware of when cycling. It is a dual carriageway leading to a roundabout. The left hand lane is now designated as a filter lane for the village. Most of the traffic is going straight on and so is bumper-to-bumper or travelling at 50 mph in the outside lane. It’s the same layout at the other side of the bypass as well.
If I get hit by a driver on this roundabout would I be at fault for not obeying road signs? I can think of two other busy junctions in this area that have been recently altered in this way.
