doesn't surprise me at all. had similar myself once when i guy tried to run into me. luckily for me i managed to get out the way but the police didn't take any action because i had an altercation with him in the road after and thumped his side window. apparently that is just as bad !!!???? anyway, after one more incident with him and then him also picking on another cyclist from our place, i know the matter got took up to the directors meeting and they weren't happy about it, and they have now set up a liaison thing with the police, where we have one point of contact. doubt it will do much good though, but at least our bosses tried.
i think it would help if they taught drivers more about cyclists taking primary position on the roads, during lessons and tests. there should be a whole section of the test designated to it, because it's obvious to me that drivers don't have a clue why we take primary and that's why they get so pissed off. obviously it wouldn't stop
