I had a quick read*. I'm quite happy that people like this chap do such adventurous things, they provide excellent entertainment ... But inspirational? No. They just inspire me to stay at home.

* In the section I read he was trying to sleep under a hedge in Turkey, afraid that unknown men with torches might find him.

I too am in the "Enjoy reading about people hiding under hedge from scary men in Turkey" camp rather than being the one doing the hiding!
