do you use the cycle path in the tunnels or the actual road?

Cycle path. The road would be a few seconds faster, I'm sure.

Origamist, as I'm on skinny tyres, one thing I do to miss out the 'white' chicane at Springfield Primary School and the cobbles under the bridges at Sale and Dane Road is to come off the canal path at Roebuck Lane and go along Roebuck, Springfield, Tatton, Claremont, Chapel, Symons, Dargle, Waverley and Dane Roads before getting back on the path. It's slightly longer and marginally slower but as I do this route quite early there isn't much traffic about. Just a thought for you to consider, if appropriate.

Thanks for that. Good to know an alternative route.

What is Royles like for repairs? My Campy freewheel is not engaging properly and I'm not sure where else in the area to go (I don't mind a travelling a few miles to another shop if they provide a good service).

@SD - you've become a real mile muncher - good work fella!

I would go to Rick Greens in Handforth on the main road. About two miles. It is a proper LBS, Paul does most of the repairs there and is a nice chap who will always run through your best options without any hard sell. :thumbsup:

Nothing wrong with Royles but all a bit pricey.

Excellent, thanks for the tip - I'll pop up to Rick Green's after work on Thurs. :thumbsup:
