Royal Mail Delivering on a Sunday?

I've just taken deliver of a parcel delivered by Royal Mail.

When did they return to Sunday delveries?

I had one just after Christmas - they are probably clearing a backlog and doing a bit of overtime.

It wasn't a late delivery - goods were despatched Friday.

Strange.

The Sunday deliveries are temporary while they clear the backlog caused by the snow.

Mine was a recently ordered item as well Vernon - the postie said that there was a drive on to clear as much as possible and that meant clearing everything including recently posted items. I got the impression that this was down to the individual postie and that it wasn't an "official" delivery service.

That's to be expected - Northern Ireland's postal service ground to a halt because of the snow pre Christams and the Post Office was clearing a back log.

Post (sic) Christmas deliveries three weeks after the big day delivering goods dispatched two and a half weeks after the big day in a snow free environment was not expected.

yep they are still clearing the backlog and one of my parcels has turned up ! Pity it was the last one I ordered, 2 previous have still not shown up

Had sunday deliveries last year around Christmas but not this year...perhaps I'm not ordering enough bike parts these days
