Isn't Royal mail's existence now sustained by junk mail, birthday and religious festival cards, bills, Ebay and Amazon?

I can't remember when I last received a hand written letter.

Me too, and thank goodness for that.
Every letter I get these days is neatly printed and easily read.

IMO they should put the price of first class stamp up to 50p second class 25p.

Isn't second class already 32p? But yes, on the whole I agree, the GPO offers a sterling service.

Actually regarding junk mail, I had some very useful stuff from postie yesterday. Well it would have been useful if I wanted double glazing, some new blinds and to get a take-away pizza by ordering it on my new BT installation.
