Red Dwarf. It's not that it was bad, just that humour moves on and it now appears dated.

The first series was pish.

i quite like the first series and think it still stands up ok - hey it's got Brian Blessed doing his barbarian king thing, and you can never get too much of that. My favourite one is where Edmund is fixed up to marry a "beautiful princess" who turns out ro be about 9. In a scene probably not possible today they're in bed together and a resigned Edmund has to tead her a bedtime story - all done in a totally innocent and non-pervy way I might add. Elizabethan one probably the best, but have to say the Great War one is the least of them especially looking back. Even ignoring the lazy Lions led by Donkeys cliche, just not as good.

Space 1999 - great premise, looked fantastic (Gerry Anderson after all), but crap stories - contrasting with Doctor Who of the time - looked crap but great stories.

Thunderbirds in contrast still stands up very well today - having treated myself to the box set. Great stories, great action, great modelwork, and the acting is at at least as good as Blake's 7 say, at the risk of damning with faint praise. I loved the anachronism of the clean cut Tracy boys drinking martinis and smoking fags whilst relaxing after a hard day's rescuing
