Running/cycling armband

I have, and TBH I don't like them. Perhaps it was the one I got, (cheapo one from Sports Soccer), but it just felt tight and bulky on my arm.

On the other hand my mate wears one, (don't know which), every time he runs and has never complained about it.

[EDIT] when cycling the phone goes in my jersey pocket, and I've taken to wearing a cycling jersey when running too for the same reason.

No I just put mine in my pocket unless I'm wearing shorts without pockets, then I put it in my cycling top pocket or body warmer pocket. I have noticed that it can get a bit wet from sweat in my pocket if I'm riding hard or it's hot.

I think my son uses one when he's out running. Not sure if he still uses it though.

To be quite honest I only "need" to use the phone when commuting, and that is simply in case anyone is sick and I have to reallocate staffing.

Otherwise there is absolutely nothing that cannot wait for my convenience.

I have a cheap bluetooth earpiece, pull over to the side when safe and take the call.

Regardless, the phone sits in my pannier, no need to be more accessible than that

I can see the use in wearing one while running especially if you want to listen to music on your phone but I'm a bit worried about coming off the bike and smashing the phone and hurting my arm.

Mr Haematocrit

msg me on kik for android
i have tried a number coming from a running background and the only one which works without having to be so tight it cuts of your blood supply is the 'y-fumble'
Its also the only one i use to this date. really like it

I've used mine for GPS when I've got lost on a route but I just stopped and got my phone out of my pocket. I would find trying to read the maps when I'm cycling a bit too much with daylight glare.

I think you're right to be concerned if you come off your bike but I'm not sure my pocket is the best place either. I think Cunobelin's idea is better but I probably wouldn't hear it in my pannier anyway.

Oaf on a Bike
I could never find one that fit and I was worried it would rub.

I keep my phone in my pocket while running, if its warm so ill sweat a lot or if it might rain i tend to put it in a sandwich bag since they dont like moisture.

I use one when out running for Endomondo/music purposes.
Can't say I really notice it, but if you could see me 'run' you'd realise it being a bit irritating is the last thing I'm thinking about.

Phone? On a bike? Heresy

Put it on the shelf by the front door as you walk out, and leave it behind!

I take mine as its the equivalent of an AA card , big disaster? Phone swmbo for rescue!

Never needed it but given some of the godforsaken places I cycle in Essex I wouldn't feel comfortable without it, 10 mile walks I can do without!
