Hi, I still keep playing around with my fit trying to find maximum comfort and it seems to be getting better now with each of my adjustments. Also I have nothing else to do other than ride and tinker at the mo.
Just after some advice, I have a fabric scoop fitted, what’s the best place to measure this for angle?

when looking at the long flat part it is overall pointing slightly up
535287

when looking across the whole it is slightly pointing down
535289

so question is at the moment is my seat angle up or down?

Thanks

Your second photograph shows nothing unfortunately.
At first look the saddle nose is tilted slightly up.

Saddle angle is very much a personal choice. What suits one desn't suit another.
My way....
I use a spirit level placed on the point of the nose and the highest point on the back of the saddle. Then I put my little finger under the level at the front of the saddle. Make sure the level is then level with my finger in place and that gives me a little bit of nose down.
That suits me.
YMMV.
(And I ride a Synapse. Want a carbon seatpost for it? I have one looking for a good home!!!)

Feel free to message me the details on your seatpost

Ah it’s a big book resting on the top and was using that against the straight edge of the table
The best way would be to put a spirit level along the saddle, as long as bike is level in the first place.
The good thing with a micro adjust seat clamp is you have so many points of adjustment.

Do yiu not have a spirit level? If you have a big smart phone you can get apps
Yes I do I just wasn’t sure on this saddle whether to measure the whole length or just the main flat portion. My old specialised power I think you just measured the first 2thirds and ignored the flare at the back

Try setting it so that the straight section (so from the nose to about 3/4 towards the back is level and the back part slopes up.
Apologies if this has been said already.
I've always had mine like this and find it comfortable.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
Forget how it is supposed to be - adjust it so it is comfortable...! :okay:

I was once on a training camp near Benidorm when former pro Marcel Wüst was one of the guest riders. I limped back from one long training ride and said hello to Herr Wüst, who was sunning himself on the lawn outside his room. He took one look at my bike and leapt to his feet, declaring that my saddle angle was "not correct" - very German! He insisted on levelling it so that the back and front were at the same height, but as you point out slow down - that makes the front part slope upwards. I only managed to ride about 1 km with the saddle like that and I got the dreaded numb nuts syndrome. I adjusted it back to my preferred 'front section level' setting and had no further problems with it.

I was going to put a thread on about saddle angle but then i saw this
I have just replaced the original saddle off my giant defy with a fizik arione which i have had for a few years.
I keep adjusting the saddle to the level position but every time i start tightening the bolt the saddle is moving to a tilted downwards position.
I have tried holding the saddle and rails why tightening but it is still moving.
Anyone got any ideas on this?

You probably just need to get a micro adjusting post.... rather than the ones that just have the little notches which only allow for one notch or the one next to it which is often not correct for you.
