Well done Maggot. That's just great.

I had an "incident" with a delivery driver. I took a pic of the van and contacted the company with my story. Driver got fired. And quite right too - I could have been badly injured or worse.

So don't suffer in silence folks. Let the companies know. It will eventually change the culture if we all do it.

On our return I rang the company, and have spoken to their SW transport manager, who had already heard of the incident.

I wonder who he'd heard about it from; it doesn't sound like it was from the driver!

Excellent result in any case.

Good work!

If I have an 'incident' with a liveried vehicle which carries a phone number I always ring up and ask to speak to the fleet manager. They're usually very sympathetic. Never had as good a result as this though.

We had a problem with a van that was racing through our street. Rang the company, spoke with the transport manager. Bloke told me the driver wouldn't be doing it again (street is Access Only). A week later saw the same van again, rang again, transport manager not happy.... never seen the van since then.

Excellent - good on the company for wanting to help out Mini User76 in particular.

Excellent result. And seeing as what the van driver did constitutes "gross misconduct" in my book (i.e. bringing the name of the company into disrepute), I hope that he is now on a final warning (having used up his other two warnings in one go!)
