It's official, we have the most beautiful country in the world!
All we need is for the rain to stop; but yes I know - that is one of the reasons why the place is so green and lush.

Look at the positives. The rain keeps the tourists away so you can cycle in peace. Similar situation where I live.

I'd rather live somewhere a bit less beautiful, that was a bit 'kin warmer, it's been about 3 degrees the last 2 days by the time wind chill is taken into account.

Sorry - but Edinburgh (outside Festival season) is boring. And up itself.

Bits of it, sure (Ravelston, Corstorphine, some of Gorgie). The city as a whole though is far from boring.

Am i the only CC poster who has never been to Scotland? The furthest north i've been is Carlisle.

I was taken to 'See the Trossachs' when I was about 11. Don't ask me what they look like, or even what a Trossach is because it rained so hard we couldn't see!
I do cycle for a long weekend every year in the Borders, based just over the Union Chain Bridge in England, so we cross the border pretty much every day. It looks rather like the other side of the border to me.

Penderyn is a nice Welsh malt and Amrut is a cracker from India.
