Sealskins gloves - how good are they - ?

There're not ! Got the MTB waterproof winter glove. The are not waterproof, they are not warm and they are not value for money.

Agreed. Both my hands were soaked on the first wet ride, even though the Sealkskins were tucked into the sleeves of my waterproof jacket. Thought I was getting a bargain at £20 - sadly not the case.

I can't get away with mine. I think they are waterproof but somehow not comfortable and not as warm as my very cheap Aldi ones.

Go on, tilt your head!
My 3.99 Aldi gloves are on par with mine. However another guy in the office has a different version of Sealskinz gloves and rates them massively.

I had a pair and they leaked like sieves from day one. I bought some specialised waterproof gloves and they are in their 5 season with no leaks, though they can get a bit sweaty inside.
Good to hear, just bought a pair of specialized to replace my old SS...which have given me 6 years good service.

Mine are nice gloves but leaked in the fingers after about 15 miles on the first wet ride and have done ever since. Reasonably warm but certainly not waterproof.

Problem for me is I have to use gloves with plenty of ulna padding and finding a pair that are also warm/dry is tricky. I guess that with the added bulk of insulation manufacturers are loath to add still more thickness in places. <sigh>

I sent a pair back a couple of days ago - leaked on first wet day. I am well out of returns period so I hope they send some new ones.
