No it wasn't, it was great fun.

to be fair, I can understand people not liking it, as the two stranded narrative was very ambitious, but in my view they just about got away with it.

FWIW, I loved the self-referential cleverness, I loved the ambiguity of the two intertwined plot hypotheses, I loved the performances of all the main cast, but (spoiler alert) I thought the insertion of the feminism subplot clumsy and unworthy.

I enjoyed it but I think I just let the story wash over me a little. It didn't seem worth concentrating too hard, what with the bottle of whisky at my side.

I watched it and enjoyed it! Though I'll watch it again to see the bits I missed the first time round. After a late night the night before I was forcing myself to stay awake!

Thinking back, it was a little demanding for that after New Years Eve feeling. I may just have another peek on the iPlayer later on.
